Welcome to our web site.

Chesham Model Flying Club (CMFC) has grown steadily since its formation in 1988.  We have the use of two prime flying sites, one of which we own, and both situated in beautiful green belt countryside.  Both sites have excellent close mown take off and landing areas.

We are a very professionally run club and, through our extensive contributions to flight safety, flying field purchase and countryside conservation, we have earned the reputation from the BMFA (British Model Flying Association) of being one of the premier clubs in the country.

 Our Flight Training Scheme comprises three BMFA approved instructors, who are all ‘B’ certificate rated pilots and work on a rota basis on a Saturday morning at one of our flying sites.  The instructor’s rota is included in the club newsletter, with all relevant information on how to contact us.

We also have BMFA certified examiners within the club, so when the time comes for those 'A' and 'B' Certificates, we can guide you and then arrange for you to take the test.

New members are always made very welcome, but in the interests of safety, please be aware that if you join our club as a solo flyer and do not hold a BMFA 'A' or 'B' certificate of competence, you must contact one of our instructors so they can view and assess your flying ability before you fly at either field unaccompanied.

Our club is dedicated to helping you, the aero modeller, to get the most enjoyment and satisfaction out of your hobby, but at the same time SAFETY is of the utmost importance.
